Day 7: Brief Check –in; Minot, North Dakota; 70 degrees; Briefly airborne; Over 1600 miles.

Now in Minot, ND. Stayed in Carrington, ND last night at a place called: The Chieftain. Greeted by a 20 foot statute out front of the motel of a Native American. Nice enough place. I was so excited to see the thermometer climbing higher until it reached 60 degrees before I left this morning. Yippie! Just the wind to contend with. Well, and that time when I went over the railroad crossing too fast, went airborne and my pack almost flew off the motorcycle. But that’s a story for another time.

Hoping to see my friends the Quigleys in Kenmare, ND.
