Day 12 Continued: Prince George, B.C.; 400 miles to Alaska!; If you’re so cold why don’t you wear more stuff?

I thought I would show you the typical gear I wear when I’m riding in cold weather. From the bottom L-R: Long underwear, Helmet, Boots, Heated Gloves

Next line: Rain Jacket, Rain Trousers, Bandana (above it Wool Socks), Motorcycle Riding Trousers

Next Line: Motorcycle Jacket, Sweater (Jumper), T Shirt, Long Sleeve Shirt.

And I’m still usually a wee bit cold!

Made it 280 miles to Prince George today. The weather started cold, in the mid 30’s ( 4 Celsius) but then rose to the low 50’s (10 Celsius). The ride was beautiful, through forests, and the snow riddled mountains.

  1. Wee bit cold? You were soaking wet and freezing after less than 100 kilometers. I was cold watching you ride through the rain. Friday’ warmth and beauty made up for it as we rode to Prince George.
