Day 6: Heading out from Barstow; Traveling Mercies Needed.

132 miles to my son’s apartment. Can’t wait to get there and squeeze the living daylights out of him. Normally, it should be a piece of cake with that few miles, except today and the damn wind advisory, 25-35 mph, gusting to 45-50. Have I said how much I hate windy days on the bike? Well, I’m going to head out soon and see what happens. All I can rely on is faith, grace and mercy. And a full tank of gas. That should be enough.

  1. Faith, grace, mercy and a full tank of gas are important. Don’t forget about the promise of a cold malt beverage waiting for you at the end of the trail.
